New Cemetery Update
JCGC broke ground on its new cemetery site at 712 Loveland–Miamiville Road in Loveland in August 2015.
The general contractor is JDL Warm Construction. Under their guidance, much work has been accomplished, including clearing and earthwork, installation of site utilities and the initial round of asphalt paving. The balance of Warm’s work will be completed this summer. Landscaping and layout of the grave sites in the initial phases of the Orthodox, Conservative and Reform sections will also be addressed this summer. We are pleased to announce that we expect to have a preview event for JCGC’s Guardians Society on August 21, 2016 and a dedication ceremony for the community on June 4, 2017.
JCGC purchased this 23-acre property in December 2011, to develop as a community cemetery. The site is a convenient location in a good neighborhood, about a mile from the Ward’s Corner exit off I–275. It is less than 10 minutes from Weil Funeral Home and 20 minutes from Amberley Village. The property will provide 100 years of burials, so the Cincinnati Jewish community will not have to make another property purchase for several generations.
